The two main types of partition system used within offices are stud and demountable both offering different advantages :

As the name suggests, this range of aluminium partition is designed to be easily relocated should your office layout require altering in the future.
This is achieved by interchanging aluminium profiles and honeycomb core plasterboard panels to form part / fully glazed and solid modules. Due to the ease of construction it is slightly cheaper than the stud system and provides an average sound attenuation of 27.7dB in solid panels.
It is probably the most popular system we offer and is used in general office areas where sound performance and / or fire performance is not required.
City Contracts are past masters at dressing up this simple system, to create a established, prestigious or hi-tech look, by incorporating venetian blinds, applied window film, veneered or glass doors etc
Stud partitions are a more substantial system, constructed from galvanised steel frame, clad on either side with 12.5mm plasterboard.
Depending on the wall thickness this system can achieve fire resistance up to 120 minutes and an average sound attenuation of 53.6dB. Stud partitions can be flush plastered (no cover trims) to look like a solid wall, however, they are not designed to be relocated.
Subject to the location City Contract Services can build the stud system to a maximum height of 6.0M.
An increasingly popular system of creating a stunning effect of glass walls and doors.
The partition is created by fixing channels to the walls, floor and ceilings, then fixing 10- 14mm thick toughened glass panels with clear silicone abutment joints to create this minimalist look.
The benefits of this partition include quick erection with the minimum of disruption to occupied sites plus the structural glass can provide levels of soundproofing and fire resistance.
An alternative finish to Demountable or Stud partitions is a real wood system, which comprises of a hardwood veneered MDF frame, head track and skirting. Designed in modular form to be fully re-locatable and perform to half hour fire rating.
Due to the fact that it is a real wood product it is more expensive than the other two systems, however, it does produce a practical yet sophisticated image.
Due to its sophisticated appearance it is best suited to Boardroom or Executive Environments.
The veneer finishes available include
- White Oak
- Ash, Maple
- Steamed Beech
- Cherry with matching door sets (if required).
